Retiring from the New York Police Department after losing her arm in a bomb explosion, Misty Knight (SANAA LATHAN) is approached by S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury to create the Heroes for Hire: a sub-level of the Avengers Initiative focusing on stopping street-level crime. Her inaugural team consists of boyfriend Danny Rand (SEAN FARIS), best friend Coleen Wing (GRACE PARK), and tough-as-nails superhero Luke Cage (MORRIS CHESTNUT). But the team faces more than they bargained for when they become the prime targets of the Kingpin and the entire New York underground. Suddenly fighting Thanos doesn't seem like such a bad deal after all!
